Effective at 8 a.m. on Friday, April 23, the High-Fire Danger Burn Ban will be lifted in Washington County.
Residents planning to conduct backyard burning or businesses conducting commercial agricultural burning will still need to follow all applicable Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), Oregon Department of Forestry (ODF), and Oregon Department of Agriculture (ODA) laws for burning. Fire departments/districts do not have authority to enforce air-quality complaints regarding smoke.
Check with your local fire agency about outdoor burning rules. For people residing in TVF&R’s service area, you can learn about current rules and look up your address on an interactive map: https://tvfr.maps.arcgis.com/apps/instant/lookup/index.html?appid=df8d5dd233854662ae9b999e911876c5 or call TVF&R’s Burn Information Line at 503-259-1789.
