Firefighters are battling a significant wildfire located southwest of Sherwood and north of Newberg that has threatened multiple structures and required level 3 evacuations for approximately 100 residents.
6th alarm has been called to bring in additional resources. High-winds of 40+ mph are challenging firefighting efforts.
Deputies with Washington County Sheriff’s Office and Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office went door to door for all level 3 evacuations and will notify any level 2 areas in person too.
All or portions of the following roads have been evacuated:
SW Weaver Dr.
SW Wildflower Dr.
NE Brooks Ln.
NE Jaquith Ln.
NE Ellis Ln
NE Mountain Top Rd.
NE Bald Peak Rd.
NE McCormick Hill Rd.
NE Bryan Creek
NE Quarter Mile Ln.
NE Chehalem Dr.
NE Hillside Dr.
Evacuees may stage at Mountainside High School 12500 SW 175th Ave, Beaverton, OR 97007
Firefighting resources are stretched thin due to multiple regional incidents. Crews will work as quickly as possible to protect structures and contain the fire. One barn has burned in the fire. No other known structures have caught fire at this time.
No evacuation map is available at this time. This fire is being handled by all local resources (not a conflagration status like other large fires across the state). Download the PulsePoint app to track incidents and their locations.
