[ARCHIVED] Crews Extinguish Residential Fire in Aloha

Firefighter sprays water on residential fire

At 9:35 a.m. today, firefighters were dispatched to a reported residential fire in 3200 block of Southwest 175th Avenue in the Aloha area of Washington County. The Washington County Consolidated Communications Agency received multiple calls reporting a house on fire, with flames visible.

Firefighters from Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue and Hillsboro Fire & Rescue arrived on scene to find a three-story house with fire and smoke visible from multiple sides of the structure.

Firefighters began firefighting operations by deploying hose lines to the back of the house. Additional crews began deploying hose lines inside the house and searching for any occupants. Due to concerns about the structural stability of the house, the incident commander ordered all crews out of the structure, and defensive fire operations began. Hose lines were strategically placed around the structure to extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading to nearby structures.

The fire was deemed under control at 10:37 a.m. Firefighters remained on scene for multiple hours, extinguishing hot spots and ensuring the fire remained out. The occupants of the home made it out of the structure safely. There were no injuries to the residents, and no firefighters were injured extinguishing the fire.

TVF&R fire investigators responded to the scene to determine the cause of the fire.
