This weekend, we were honored to host the Metro Fire Camp. Young women learned what it takes to be in the fire service. Professional female firefighters taught them about emergency medical care, search and rescue techniques and fire suppression tactics. They also taught participants about physical abilities tests and provided interview tips. 

Thank you to the firefighters from Portland Fire & Rescue, San Diego, California Fire, Ashland Fire Department, La Pine, Oregon Fire, Port of Seattle Fire, Salem Fire Department, Sisters-Camp Sherman Fire District, Lebanon Fire District - Lebanon, Oregon, Ventura, California Fire, Camas-Washougal Volunteer Firefighters who spent months planning the camp.
