Posted on: July 22, 2018[ARCHIVED] Quick Action by Firefighters Prevents Extensive Damage to West Linn Home
Just after 1:00 pm today Firefighters were dispatched to a reported house fire in the 2400 block of Remington Drive in West Linn. The occupant of the residence reported to 911 call takers the fire to be located on the roof of the home.
First arriving crews from West Linn station 59 reported a working fire on the exterior of the home. Firefighters worked quickly to extinguish the flames, and then moved inside the residence to check for fire extension. Additional crews arrived on scene and verified that all occupants had made it out of the structure safely. Firefighters worked for approximately 40 minutes to extinguish the fire and check for hot spots both on the roof and inside the residence. There were no reported injuries to the occupants or responding firefighters.
TVF&R Battalion Chief Case Brown stated “The quick actions of the first arriving firefighters really prevented this fire from spreading and destroying the entire residence.” A TVF&R fire investigator is working to determine the cause of the fire. There is no damage estimate available at this time.
TVF&R was assisted on scene by Clackamas Fire District, West Linn Police, and AMR ambulance.
