Posted on: June 25, 2017[ARCHIVED] Rapidly Spreading House Fire Quickly Contained by Firefighters
At 11:15 p.m. on June 24, 2017 multiple callers to 9-1-1 reported heavy flames and smoke coming from a two-story home in the 6000 block of SW 169th Place in Beaverton.
Firefighters arrived to pressurized black smoke coming from the eaves and 20 foot flames coming from roof. They quickly initiated a search and confirmed no one was in the home. Firefighters then established aerial water streams to suppress and contain the fire to the primary home.
Due to these quick actions, the fire damage was limited to the garage and roof and did not spread to another residence. There is no cause or damage estimate at this time.
