Just after 10:30 a.m. today, Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue crews responded to a report of a commercial fire in the 30000 block of Northeast Parrett Mountain Road at the Archer Vineyard near Newberg.

Upon arrival, firefighters found a small equipment fire outside of a production building on the property. Crews quickly extinguished the fire and prevented it from spreading.

A fire investigator determined the fire started in a heating and cooling unit and caused an estimated $40,000 in damages.
