At 8 p.m. this evening, a family that lives in a house in the 7000 block of Danielle Avenue in Beaverton came home to discover the backside of their two-story home on fire. They immediately called 9-1-1 to report the fire and evacuated themselves and their pet cat.
TVF&R firefighters arrived to find the back of the house on fire, which had spread into the attic with flames dispersing through the roof. The fire also caught a tree in the backyard on fire. Crews did a thorough search of the house to ensure all occupants were out and quickly worked to extinguish the fire. The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time.
The three adults and cat were unharmed; however, their house is currently not habitable. They will be staying with family in the meantime.
