At 7:15p.m. on August 27, a caller to 911 reported smoke and flames coming from his neighbor's home in the 11000 block of Preakness Way in Wilsonville. Firefighters from TVF&R's south Wilsonville fire station arrived within five minutes of being dispatched to find heavy smoke and flames through the roof of the single-story home. They initiated a fire attack and search to confirm that no one was inside the home.

Firefighters were able to limit most of the fire damage to the living room, but the home sustained smoke and water damage throughout, and the four residents were displaced.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation and there is no damage estimate at this time.
