Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue is now recruiting for responder and auxiliary volunteers who want to give back to their community through service.
Information can be found on our website, applications will be accepted until Friday, Feb. 27.
Responder volunteers will gain hands-on experience supporting firefighters on scene in a non-firefighter capacity, participating in community activities and supporting TVF&R’s public education efforts.
Auxiliary volunteers have the opportunity to restore and maintain antique apparatus, take part in parades and community events as well as participate in public education.
Those interested in joining our team as a volunteer are invited to attend a Volunteer Open House on Saturday, Feb. 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue’s Command and Business Operations Center, 11945 S.W. 70th Ave., in Tigard. There will be presentations throughout the informational event. Representatives will also be available to answer any questions from potential candidates.
