At 8:32 pm, TVF&R firefighters arrived at the scene of a serious motor vehicle accident involving a semi-truck and a car at SW Stafford Rd. and SW Ek Rd. in West Linn.
Upon arrival, firefighter medics from TVF&R’s Truck 56 began the process of extricating a single female patient from the sedan. LifeFlight was activated to respond. While Station 56 firefighters and members of TVF&R’s Technical Rescue Team from Tigard Station 51 worked to extricate and treat the patient, additional firefighters from Station 57 prepared a landing zone for LifeFlight in a nearby church parking lot.
One patient was transported via LifeFlight with serious injuries to Oregon Health & Science University Hospital. The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office is currently at the scene working to determine the cause of the accident.
