Parking: ADA parking is available at the station. Additional parking spots are available on site and on Menlo Drive, east of Eichler Park.

Join us on Saturday, October 19, as we celebrate Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue’s Beaverton Fire Station #67 turning 20 years old. Swing by the station any time between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

 This is a free, family-friendly event. Visitors can tour the fire station, meet firefighters, and check out different types of emergency response vehicles. Kids can try the junior firefighter challenge where they’ll get to spray water from a fire hose and learn how to escape from a smoke-filled room in TVF&R’s fire safety house.

History

After multiple mergers and annexations of smaller fire departments, the fire protection district now known as Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue (TVF&R) was created in 1989. In 1996, Beaverton Fire Department joined TVF&R. The original Beaverton fire station, which was part of the old city hall building built in 1958, was located on Hall Boulevard and Fifth Street where the Beaverton Library currently resides. The old fire station was in disrepair and needed to be replaced. After 40 years of service, the station was demolished and a new fire station was built on Farmington Road, which opened for service in 1999. Today, the Farmington Road station houses a four-person fire engine, four-person tiller truck, two-person medic unit, and a battalion chief. Firefighters responded to approximately 5,500 calls for service from the station last year. Station 67 is one of the busiest in the district.
