On Saturday, September 19, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue will host a community open house and provide tours of newly remodeled Station 52, which is located at 29875 S.W. Kinsman Road in Wilsonville. There will be games, refreshments and safety education activities.
Station 52 serves residential, agricultural and industrial areas in the city of Wilsonville and unincorporated Clackamas County.
Station 52 was remodeled to correct operational and safety deficiencies of the original building. Improvements include seismic upgrades, an interior fire sprinkler system and accommodations for female firefighters.
The project was one of many funded by the November 2006 voter-approved $77.5 million general obligation bond for capital improvements across the District’s 210-square-mile service area.
