Programs

Chaplains Program

TVF&R's Chaplaincy Program includes several clergy members who respond to incidents and provide non-sectarian crisis intervention and emotional support to those involved in traumatic incidents. The program also assists our firefighters in their time of need, be it the death or illness of a family member, or other hardship.

Jeffrey D. Johnson Community Assistance Program

TVF&R firefighters have been given the authority to spend up to $100, at their discretion, to help an individual or family in need. The $100 Program gets its funding from the Jeffrey D. Johnson Community Assistance Program, which is completely dependent upon community and employee donations. The program also donates to nonprofit social service agencies that share TVF&R’s commitment to preventing emergencies and making this a safer community for people to live and work.

Automated External Defibrillator Grant Program

TVF&R has established the AED Grant Program in order to support local organizations committed to the health and wellbeing of their employees, clients, and visitors. The District supports placing AEDs in public areas where large numbers of people gather. In an effort to support those organizations that invest in an AED for their facilities, groups may request a reimbursement grant. This program relies on community donations to fund one-time reimbursable grants.
