Location / Service Area

Station 62 will relocate to Southwest 185th Avene and Pheasant Lane for a more central location, improving response times and regional coordination. Currently serving a 21.1-square-mile area, Station 62’s station zone includes a large portion of Aloha, as well as areas of unincorporated Washington County between Beaverton and Hillsboro. Four personnel (on each 24-hour, three-shift schedule) respond to incidents primarily utilizing Engine 62 and can also respond in Water Tenders 62A and 62B when needed.

Why a New Station?

Data analysis of population density, incident types, and traffic confirm Station 62’s new location on Southwest Pheasant Lane as providing effective response to its immediate response area. This includes management of one of three wildland caches. This equipment is taken when a team is deployed as part of a Washington County deployment. The new site provides a better location for call response needs in the area. Accommodating current personnel and apparatus needs, the new footprint will allow for future expansion to address anticipated increases in population and call volume. It will also include a dual-purpose stairwell for firefighters to train on-site.
