TVF&R Board Advises Staff to Proceed with Levy Renewal Proposal

At Tuesday night’s meeting, the TVF&R Board of Directors agreed with staff’s recommendation to proceed with a local option levy renewal proposal in May 2019.

The existing local option levy approved by voters in 2014 expires in June 2020.
 
The levy has allowed TVF&R to retain 42 firefighters and add 40 more firefighters and paramedics to provide fast, safe and effective emergency response. It’s also helped fund the construction of a new fire station; purchase land for future stations; purchase apparatus, including medic units, cars, and fire trucks; and add staffing positions that support safe and reliable emergency operations.
 
Our communities’ investment has strengthened TVF&R’s emergency response system.
