MultiFamily Housing Fire & Life safety Program

Welcome to our multifamily housing fire & life safety landlord training page!

We hold in-person landlord trainings annually and provide an online training course year round - see below. This training is geared towards educating property managers and their staff on ways to prevent fires from occurring at their apartment complexes.

You will learn about the basics of fire, (Oregon) fire code and inspection practices, common fire causes, ways to reduce hazards that could cause fires and/or ingress/egress issues, youth fire-setting, and what happens if a fire does occur - how our partners at Red Cross can assist you and your residents.

If you own, manage and/or maintain a multifamily housing complex, we encourage you to attend an upcoming in-person training. Our next training is anticipated to occur spring 2026 at Hillsboro Fire.

This training program is in partnership with TVF&R, Hillsboro Fire & Rescue, Clackamas Fire District #1, and American Red Cross Cascades Region. For history on how this landlord training program started, click here.
