MultiFamily Housing Fire & Life safety Program

Welcome to our multifamily housing fire & life safety landlord training page! 

We hold in-person landlord trainings twice a year (spring and fall) and provide an online training course year round - see below! This training is geared towards educating property managers and their staff on ways to prevent fires from occurring at their apartment complexes. 

You will learn about the basics of fire, fire code and inspection practices, common fire causes, ways to reduce hazards that could cause fires and/or ingress/egress issues, youth firesetting, and what happens if a fire does occur - how our partners at Red Cross can assist you and your residents. 

If you own, manage and/or maintain a multifamily housing complex, we encourage you to attend an upcoming in-person training. Our most recent class was held on November 14, 2023. If you missed it, please sign up to receive our newsletter, so you can receive notification of our next class (spring 2024 - exact date is TBD). If you are unable to attend an in-person training, you may take the self-paced online training below! 

This training program is in partnership with TVF&R, Hillsboro Fire & Rescue, Clackamas Fire District #1, and Red Cross Cascades Region.
