Fire Station 50

On February 28th, 2009 TVF&R opened station 50 as it's first LEED certified fire station.  This station was constructed on time and within budget using funds from TVF&R's voter approved bond.

The 11,700 square foot station includes sleeping rooms, a kitchen, physical fitness area, an office, the apparatus and storage bay, and a community room. Initially, the station will be home to a daily crew of four firefighters, but as demands for service increase in the future, additional personnel and equipment can be added. While the station serves the 9th largest geographic area in the District (out of 20), it ranks third in population density with 23,000 residents.

The project also resulted in a 1.5 acre addition to neighboring Jack Park, as well as extra parking for that resource. The City of Tigard purchased the property from TVF&R and contributed to the construction of an expanded community room at the station.
