At 5:38am Firefighters were dispatched to a report of a residential fire in Tualatin near the cross streets of SW Hedges Ct and SW 103rd Ct. On arrival crews found heavy fire on the exterior of the house with the flames quickly extending into the attic. Firefighters were able to make a quick knockdown of the flames on the exterior, while simultaneously working to gain access to the attic fire. Crews were then able to extinguish the remainder of the fire using water from both above and below roofline.

While an exact cause is still under investigation, a fire investigator has determined the fire started on the exterior of the house and then extended into the attic. The home was heavily damaged.

Four people and a cat were displaced by the fire. No injuries were reported.
