Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue has a long history of financial stewardship and transparency. The District has received national awards from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) consecutively since 1987 for its audited financial reports and budget documents. The District submits its bonds for credit rating by Moody’s Investor Service, and currently holds the highest rating attainable, Aaa.
The recently-released Popular Annual Financial Report (PAFR) reflects information from TVF&R’s comprehensive annual financial report, annual budget document, and other District resources. The PAFR is designed with an easy-to-read format for citizens who don’t have a background in public finance.
The PAFR is also reviewed by selected members of the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) professional staff and outside reviewers with experience in governmental accounting and financial reporting.
