According to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, an estimated 30,000 children and adults in the United States (70,000 worldwide) have CF. For the 6th time in a row, an off-duty TVF&R team took on the challenge of climbing 42-flights up the US Bancorp Tower in Portland, OR in full firefighting gear to raise awareness and support for CF research. More than $180,000 has been raised by this event so far by all participants from around the world who climbed including a special guest with the TVF&R team hailing all the way from Pearland Fire Department in Pearland, TX who competed in the event for the first time ever. TVF&R volunteer firefighter Steve Moran was the top finisher for the team with a time of 8 minutes, 54 seconds - a 21st place finish out of a pool of 190 climbers!
