Firefighters were called to an early morning fire at 17130 SW Alvord Lane in Beaverton with reports that smoke was entering the home and the lights throughout the house were flickering. The 9-1-1 call came in at 3:59am and the crew from the Cooper Mountain Station 69 was the first to arrive followed immediately by Walnut Station Engine 50. Firefighters found a fire burning on the exterior of the home with possible extension into the attic. They quickly knocked down the fire and worked to check for extension into the home while other crews performed a search of the home for occupants. It was confirmed that all residents were able to exit the home safely without injury. Smoke was found inside the home but firefighter’s quick action contained the fire to the outside only.
A TVF&R investigator is working to determine the cause of the fire and damage estimates.
