CPR, First Aid, and AEDs

An important component of both safety and emergency preparedness is knowing how to deal with medical emergencies. The Chain of Survival includes Early Access to 9-1-1, Early CPR, Early Defibrillation, and Early Advanced Care.

Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue is involved in all four links of the chain. We provide training and information for home and the workplace on how to access 9-1-1, perform CPR and first aid, and use automated external defibrillators (AEDs). Our first-response paramedics provide advanced life support. In addition, we provide support and guidance for those interesting in purchasing and deploying AEDs.
