Weather and Floods

Weather can vary in the Pacific Northwest and sneak up on us without warning at times. Although our most common hazardous weather is in the winter (windstorms, rain, flooding, snow, ice, and severe cold), climate change is bringing us more frequent and severe weather throughout the year. Extended periods of heat can be particularly dangerous in our area creating health risks from overheating and fire risk due to dry vegetation.

• Create an emergency plan and kit for you and your family, including pets - ready.gov.
