Our Mission...

To provide a dedicated full service resource for the District's fleet that balances the challenges of apparatus technology, the special needs of the fire service, and the fiscal obligations to the taxpayers.

The Fleet Maintenance Department is responsible for servicing and maintaining 170 district vehicles.  In addition, we provide contract maintenance services for another 100 fire department vehicles from 6 other local fire departments. These departments include, Cornelius, Gaston, Gladstone, Hillsboro, Lake Oswego and Washington County Fire District No.2.

Our full-service maintenance shop is a 12,000 square-foot facility which includes four 25' by 70' service bays, a fabrication bay, parts storage, SCBA repair area, and a pump testing area.

The key element of our operation is the standardization of apparatus and equipment. In addition to the operational advantage, our belief is that standardization minimizes the impact on both training and inventories and adds the element of predictive maintenance into our preventive maintenance program.
