Safety for Seniors
Senior Fall and Injury Prevention
- Multiple page document
that outlines safety for stairways, outdoor and living areas. Also
includes a TVFR medical emergency card.
Step-Smart Tips for
Seniors - Fall prevention tips for seniors (Bilingual).
Medical Emergency Card - TVF&R emergency response personnel are
trained to look for this card when they respond to a medical
emergency at your home. This card alerts the responder to what medications you are taking and any medical conditions
they need to be aware of when providing emergency services.
These cards are available a variety of ways - you can
print one, call us at (503) 649-8577,
email us with your request, or visit one of our various
Community Partners who offer these
cards at their locations - all free-of-charge to our service
area residents.
If you live outside the TVF&R response area, your emergency
responders will not be trained to look for our card; therefore,
please contact your local emergency responding agency to
determine what program they are using in your area.
Check with your local City or County agency
for additional tips and assistance. Agencies within the TVF&R service
area:
Washington County
Multnomah County
Clackamas County
