New Construction

The New Construction section is staffed with Deputy Fire Marshals (DFM) and is supervised by an Assistant Fire Marshal.  (All new construction permitted through local city and county building departments within our District is reviewed by a TVF&R New Construction Deputy Fire Marshal to ensure plans meet applicable fire and life-safety requirements). Improved fire codes and new construction review is one of the primary ways that the Fire Service has reduced the number of fires and fire fatalities in the United States over the past 30 years.
