Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue took shape between 1972 and 1996 as a
number of small fire departments consolidated to increase efficiency,
lower the cost of services, and eliminate duplication. It is because
of these consolidation and annexation efforts that Tualatin Valley
Fire & Rescue has one of the
lowest tax rates in the region.
On March 9, 2004 West Linn voters approved annexation to Tualatin
Valley Fire & Rescue.
