This year marks the 11th year that TVF&R/Local 1660 firefighters
have participated in the Scott Firefighter Stairclimb -
the largest firefighter competition in the world. The Scott Firefighter
Stairclimb takes place at the 788 foot high
Columbia Center in downtown Seattle and includes running 69 flights of
stairs in full turnouts, boots, and air pack. Our team members prepared
for months for this ultimate test of endurance and strength and this
year’s team will have 50 TVF&R firefighter who are taking the day off to
compete. We are proud to say that over the years, our team - one of the
largest in the competition - has won many of the top team and individual
honors. More importantly, we have raised almost $75,000 for the Leukemia
& Lymphoma Society. This year’s goal is to raise $15,000!
