Emergency responders need immediate access to the necessary supplies to do their jobs. Similar to military applications responders need these supplies delivered to them on the front lines in an efficient and timely manner. Providing a centralized purchasing and delivery of the daily operating supplies and equipment is the responsibility of the Supply Department. Procuring, negotiating prices, providing District-wide intra-departmental mail and delivery services, central inventory and emergency response (fire and EMS) equipment management are all activities performed daily by Supply staff in order to efficiently and cost effectively insure that our emergency responders have the supplies necessary to meet the needs of the communities we serve.
