The Logistics Division plans, prepares, and
delivers the supplies,
equipment, systems, and services needed by the District
in order to carry out its primary missions of
emergency response and fire prevention. Logistics comprises five departments:
Communications, Facilities, Fleet,
Information Technology, and Supply; and four
programs: Emergency Management, Data Analysis,
Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and Operational Response Aids.
When our citizens need
our emergency services, our responders need
effective, efficient, and reliable equipment and
systems at the ready. Supporting the District’s 24/7/365 emergency response operation
is a major undertaking: more than ever before, the
technology that supports our mission requires
effective coordination and integration among the
range of
Logistics disciplines and departments. The
full scope of support functions is not readily
apparent to our citizens or even to our emergency
responders, and the Logistics Division takes pride in
providing this “invisible” service. When our
citizens are relying on our emergency responders,
Logistics wants our responders to rely on their
equipment without second thoughts.
