How Do I Become a Volunteer?

Volunteer Program

The volunteer program was established to provide hands-on experience for individuals interested in supporting their community via the fire service. Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue typically holds one recruit academy each year for both combat (firefighting) and support positions. The number of opportunities available depends on the number of vacancies at each station.

Interest List

The application process has closed for 2007, but interested individuals can submit their name via email to jobs@tvfr.com to be placed on an interest list for next year's academy. The application process will open again in Spring 2008, and those on the interest list will be notified via email.

If you have submitted your application for the 2007 Volunteer Academy, click here:  2007 Recruitment Timeline
