The Sherwood station serves the rapidly growing City of Sherwood
and the surrounding area. Although new housing development is
significant in the region, much of the 34 square miles covered by this
station is in the wildland/urban interface zone with steep terrain. The
Sherwood station houses 12 full-time personnel (4 on each 24-hour shift),
with paramedic staffing on the ALS Engine 33 at all times. Station 33 also
has a company of active volunteers who staff an additional fire engine,
a brush firefighting unit, and a water tender on an on-call basis.
