Code Enforcement

Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue's Code Enforcement mission is to work in partnership with District businesses to promote and maintain a safe and desirable living and working environment.  To accomplish this, we focus primarily on the following tasks.

• Administer a fire inspection and offer interpretive guidance to ensure compliance with the established Fire Code and access for emergency services in buildings and along streets

• Work in conjunction with businesses, neighborhood associations, residents, and other agencies to identify and address concerns within the community

• Initiate special programs targeted to address specific fire and life safety risks

• Monitor public assemblies and community events to ensure safe means of egress and access for emergency services

The Code Enforcement section is staffed by Deputy Fire Marshals and Fire Inspectors and is supervised by an Assistant Fire Marshal.
